Medication Dosing

  • Acetaminophen (Tylenol) Dosing

    ​​Acetaminophen (also called paracetamol) is a medicine used to reduce fever and pain sold over the counter. Please review the dosing information for your child’s age and weight to give them the proper amount. If you have questions, please call our office and our nurses will assist you.

  • Ibuprofen (Motrin and Advil) Dosing

    Ibuprofen (also known as Motrin and Advil) is a medicine used to reduce fever and pain. It is an "over-the-counter" medicine, meaning that you can get it without a doctor's prescription. Please review the dosing information for your child’s age and weight to give them the proper amount. If you have any questions, please call our office and our nurses will assist you.

  • Diphenhydramine (Benadryl)

    ​Diphenhydramine (also known as Benadryl®) is a medicine used to treat allergic reactions, hives and allergies that affect the nose (called nasal allergies). It is an "over-the-counter" medicine, meaning that you can get it without a doctor's prescription. There are other medicines like diphenhydramine that might be safer for young children - please contact our office for more options - Do NOT give to children younger than the age of 2, contact a doctor before giving to a child between ages 2-6 years old.   • Constipation Medication

    Review the following information for children ages 2 years and older. If your child is younger than 2 and you are worried they may have constipation, please contact our office.
